While your big day will be one to remember, I’m sure you can’t stop daydreaming about that upcoming vacation. With all the wedding planning, have you neglected that suitcase? Don’t panic, I’m here to help you get everything together with my must-have honeymoon packing list. From the essentials, to the lacy little extras, you’ll be packing smart in no time.

The must-have honeymoon packing list.

To make your life a little easier, I’m going to divide this list into sections. We’ll cover the essentials and extras for him and her, as well as a few suggestions for those romantic evenings in.

The Carry-on Essentials:

• Airline tickets
• Passports, visas, drivers' licenses
• Credit cards
• Traveler’s checks
• Hotel reservation confirmations
• Photocopies of all the items above
• The phone numbers of your doctors, credit card companies (in case you lose them), and pet sitters
• Luggage I.D’s
• Prescription medication in their original bottles
• Camera with an extra memory card and batteries
• Sunglasses
• Extra clothing for each of you in case your luggage is lost (dress, swimsuit, underwear, etc.), but wear comfortable shoes on the plane

Packing for Her:

• 1 pair of jeans or casual pants
• 1 casual dress or skirt
• 2 pairs of shorts
• 4 casual shirts (T’s and tanks)
• 1 evening look (I recommend a versatile LBD)
• 1 light jacket or pullover
• 1 cardigan
• 2 swimsuits (one for a good tan and one with support for activities)
• 1 swimsuit cover-up
• Socks and underwear (bring extras)
• Bras (strapless, etc.)
• 1 cross-body purse for the day
• 1 evening clutch
• 1 pair of comfortable walking shoes/sandals
• 1 pair of evening shoes/heels/sandals
• Accessories that will multiply your outfit options (scarves, statement necklaces, etc.)
• Feminine products
• Cosmetics
• Hair accessories

Packing for Him:

• 1 pair of jeans or casual pants
• 2 pairs of shorts
• 4 casual shirts
• 1 nice pair of pants
• 1 nice button-down
• 1 blazer or sports jacket
• 1 light jacket or pullover
• 1 swimsuit
• Socks and underwear (bring extras)
• 1 pair of walking shoes/sandals
• 1 pair of nice shoes

Toiletries:

• Toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Deodorant
• Comb/brush
• Hairspray/gel
• Shaving supplies

For the Both of You:

Have you packed the essentials? Perfect. Let’s move on to the fun part! Honeymoons are supposed to be about romance, intimacy, and finally having a relaxing getaway with your new husband or wife. How can you make this vacation even more special? Stock an iPod with plenty of romantic love songs. Bring along massage oils and bubble bath. The most important piece of clothing to pack? Bridal lingerie, of course! My favorite line happens to be Eberjey. This line of lingerie has the sex appeal you’re looking for, without losing the the comfort you need.
