Planning a wedding is no easy feat, and if you’ve decided not to hire a professional wedding planner, it won’t take long to realize that there are endless details to manage. But it doesn’t have to be that hard—not surprisingly, there’s an app for that! Gone are the days of lugging around a giant three-ring binder filled with notes, schedules, and ideas for inspiration. Whether you’re tech-savvy or not, there are dozens of free wedding planning apps and websites that offer incredibly easy-to-use planning tools. We’ve compiled a list of some of our personal favorites to help you do everything you need to do in order to make your nuptials go off without a hitch. From managing your budget to keeping track of RSVPs to creating seating arrangements, wedding planning just got a whole lot easier.

1.Appy Couple (free)

With both a downloadable app and website, Appy Couple makes wedding planning easy. You can manage your budget, keep track of timelines, find inspiration for décor, and consult a travel and destination guideline to help make hotel arrangements for out-of-town guests. It includes tips on etiquette, advice on gifts to buy your bridal party, and a weekly checklist, including a convenient “week of wedding” to-do list to make sure that nothing has been overlooked. For a small fee—basic packages start at $39—you can go one step further and create your own customized wedding app and website where you can create seating charts, manage your guest list, share photos, and provide your guests with concierge hotel and travel details.  

2. WedHappy (free)

With a convenient dashboard that tracks the progress you’ve made, Wedding Happy is perfect for both brides and grooms looking to manage all of the details of their big day. It includes a countdown timer to the day of your ceremony, lets you know what tasks need to be done when, and sends notifications when tasks are due or vendor payments need to be made. You can manage your vendors, share your progress on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest, and even assign tasks to bridesmaids or friends. You don’t need a network connection to access the app, so even if you find yourself without wi-fi, you can still use it in airplane mode.

3. Our Wedding Planner (free)

Create and manage your budget, keep track of to-do lists, and organize vendor info with Our Wedding Planner. This app includes a countdown timer to the big day, lets you import your guest list from contacts in your phone, and helps you monitor invitations and RSVPs. The task lists are pre-populated so you don’t have to worry about forgetting any of the small details.

4. Wedding Planner LadyMarry (free)

DIY wedding planners have no fear—Wedding Planner LadyMarry makes the daunting task of event planning as easy as can be. Not only can you track your budget, manage your guest list and RSVPs, and follow a timeline for what needs to be done when, you can also find local vendors through the app’s partnership with Thumbtack. Find photographers, florists, officiants, stylists, and caterers, delegate specific tasks to bridesmaids and ushers, and keep track of the big picture. Customizable and collaborative, this app is perfect for sharing and managing your progress with family and friends.  

5. iWedding Deluxe ($6.99)

This one costs a few dollars to download and is only available for iPhone, but iWedding Deluxe is full of features to help make planning your ceremony and reception a cinch. In addition to keeping track of your budget, to-do lists, timelines, seating plans, and vendors, it also includes inspiration ideas for finding the perfect bridal gown, allows you to add photos, manages and tracks gifts, and offers first dance suggestions from iTunes. As if that isn’t enough, you can also export important data by email, find vendors, and share specific details of your day via Facebook and Twitter.

6. Wedding LookBook by The Knot (free)

This app is all about inspiration, so whether you decide to use a wedding planning app or intend on hiring a professional event planner, this one will help you find the perfect dress. From bridal gowns to diamond rings to bridesmaid and mother of the bride designs, the Wedding LookBook by The Knot is one that you can’t afford to miss. You can browse dresses by silhouette, style, or price, and once you’ve chosen a few of your favorite designs you’ll receive customized recommendations based on your style preferences.  

7. The Knot Wedding Planner (free)

From the experts at The Knot comes The Knot Wedding Planner, a free, easy-to-use tool that takes all the guesswork out of event planning and offers tons of inspiration. Checklists and budgeting tools allow you to keep track of your spending, timeline, and schedules, but the best part of this app is that you can find and communicate with vendors directly through The Knot’s inbox feature. It also automatically syncs to your account on TheKnot.com, so you can access all of your details through the mobile app or through the website.

8. TheKnot.com

It’s almost impossible to find a modern bride who hasn’t at least visited TheKnot.com. Loaded with ideas for inspiration and full of information relating to every aspect of the big day, TheKnot also features a handy online tool that allows you to manage your budget, create a guest list, track everything from RSVPs to thank you notes, manage all of your registries in one place, and maintain a checklist that tells you what you need to do and when you need to do it. Here you can do everything from creating your own wedding website to finding marriage vows that are appropriate for same-sex couples. Plan your big day entirely through the website or use the site in conjunction with The Knot Wedding Planner app for your mobile devices.

9. WeddingWire.com

TheWeddingWire.com is loaded with resources for the DIY event planner. You can find vendors, search for venues, find hotel accommodations for out-of-town guests, and even find information on how to change your name after marriage. The planning tools offered on this site include a budget manager, a to-do list and checklist, a seating chart tool that can be shared directly with your venue, a guest list tool to track attendance, invitations, and gifts, and a hashtag generator that creates a couple-specific hashtag for social media. You can even create your own wedding website and social guestbook to interact and share stories and photos with guests before and after the big day.

10. TheBach.com

Somewhere between the engagement and the day of your nuptials, you are most likely going to want to enjoy a night out with the girls, and TheBach.com makes bachelorette party planning as easy as can be. Search the site by state to find the best bars, clubs, restaurants, spas, hotels, and entertainment venues to suit the size of your party and the size of your budget. You can also create an itinerary and invite guests and friends once the bridal party has set the date and made the arrangements.
